Some of my earliest memories are of the illustrations and stories from books my mother read to me as a child. I remember vividly the pictures by Maurice Sendak, Richard Scarry, Shel Silverstein, Ezra Jack Keats, Garth Williams and the worlds they created with their drawings. The night Max's room grew into a forest in "Where the Wild Things Are" has become a permanent fixture in my imagination.

Soon, I found I could really fire up my imagination by creating my own worlds with pencil and paper. I would entertain myself for hours at the kitchen table, drawing animals, aliens, robots, evil computers, imaginary cities and faraway solar systems.

I never quite outgrew the fun of drawing and making things up. Included here are some of the things I have been up to in more recent years. In addition to working on stories of my own, I have had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects with clients such as Scholastic Books, Accord Publishing, Child Heroes Publishing and Hooked on Phonics.

When I am not drawing, I enjoy eating Chinese take-out and renting DVDs with my lovely wife, Kelly, Carter the kindly cat, and our wise old dog, Jack. We live a quiet life together in Roseville, California.

Please take a look around and enjoy the illustrations. Don't hesitate to contact me if you feel my work would be a match for an upcoming title, or even if you would like to see more samples.
